Hey, Sister-friend 👋🏽
When I began working with people to help them heal from difficult childhood experiences, I began having more and more conversations at work and with people in general about childhood trauma. We would talk about their struggles, hopes and wishes as it relates to healing from the effects of childhood trauma.
One thing I began to see was a pattern of women not understanding, minimizing or even dismissing their traumatic experiences. The more I heard it, the more it breaks my heart to hear these lovely women say it, and I want to address it today.
Many women don’t believe what they experienced was serious enough to warrant seeking help. After all, they did not experience any big events like violent sexual assault, war, or life-threatening situations. This means they often remain stuck in pain with trauma wounds instead of getting the support and healing they need.
Today I dig into the classifications of trauma, how trauma is actually formed and why your trauma is not based on a particular event.
I will give space to understand why your experience and trauma wounds deserve to be validated, voiced and addressed.
I hope this episode brings you some freedom and healing
In Healing and Love 😊
